1) How is Indian civilization different from European civilization?

Ans:-  According to lesson there is a basic difference between the  

           Indian Civilization and European Civilization.The tendency  

           of Indian Civilization is to elevate the moral being whereas 

           the western civilization propagates immorality.

In Present Indefinite (Simple) Tense, the action is simply mentioned and there is nothing said about its completeness. It is used to Show an action which Has happens on a regular basis.


सामान्य वर्तमान काल में सामान्य क्रिया का ही जिक्र होता है और इसमें क्रिया की पूर्णता की स्थिति के बारे में कुछ भी नही कहा जाता । लगातार या हमेशा होनेवाली क्रिया के लिए इसका प्रयोग किया जाता है ।

"es" is added with verb which ends with letter" "	Examples

When last letter of verb is 'y' and second last letter is a consonant, then for adding 's' with the verb, the letter 'y' is replaced with 'ies' jaise - study-studies, cry-cries, try-tries. When last letter of verb is 'y' and second last letter is a vowel, then we just add 's' after 'y' jaise - obey-obeys, play-plays, day-days. In almost other cases, "s" is added with the verb.

Indian Civilization and Culture

'Indian Civilization and culture' is an essay that show the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi about the Indian Civilization and culture.He compares the Indian or the ancient civilization with the western or the modern civilization. He says that Indian Civilization develops morality while western civilization spreads immorality. Our civilization can teach the world. therefore, we need not copy the  western civilization. Our ancestors advised us to maintain distance from the use of machinery because the 'use off machinery may paralyze or hands and feet. They suggested resisting our wants to lead a happy life. Our civilization is still alive while the other civilization of the world died. Therefore, in gandhiji words if we want our India to rise and shine. We should always value the glory and dignity of our civilization and culture. There is no match for it in his world where  a mad rush materials has dead the mind of people.

 MACAVITY: THE MYSTERY CAT

T.S.Eliot

THOMAS STEARNS ELIOT (1888-1965) was born in St.Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. but eventually settled  in England. A classicist in literature, an Anglo-catholicin religion, and a royalist in politics,he rose to become one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century. He was also a distinguished critic and a dramatist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1948. His best known poems are The Waste Land, Ash Wednesday and Four Quartets. As a poet and spokesman for his age he truly represents the intellectual, social and philosophical moods of the twentieth century. The present poem 'Macavity: The Mystery Cat' is from his collection called Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, which was made into a very successful music on stage by the great composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber. It is a light poem in the mock heroic vein. It does not need any solemn or detailed analysis; its charm comes from its neat rhymed and galloping rhythm as well as the comic effort of a monster-criminal who is in fact a cat.

  MACAVITY: THE MYSTERY CAT

Macavity's a Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw 

for he's  the master criminal who can defy the Law.

He's the bafflement of Scotland yard, the Flying Squad's despair:

For when they reach the scene of crime- Macavity's not there!

Macavity's a Mystery, there's no one like Macavity,

He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity.
